We hope you are fully enjoying the holidays and remembering that they are indeed “holy days” – a time for celebration as well as for contemplation of the sacred. This week, we invite you to think about what is holy for you and to give time and attention to what is most precious in your life. And, we want to speak to how you can ready yourself for a new year. What will enable you to enter 2025 with courage and conviction, humor and hope?

You might begin with completion. Completion is a powerful process that allows us to open the future. We recommend taking some time to celebrate the accomplishments, the wins, the breakthroughs, and the blessings that filled much of your life in 2024. We also recommend naming and acknowledging the breakdowns, the challenges, and the missteps that may have taken place – and do so in a way that puts all of that to rest. If you are grieving loss, feel it fully and let it soften you. If you are resentful, explore how forgiveness might free you from the past and guide you in the future. If something is missing for you, hold it in your heart and dream on it – give it a path to find its way to you. This is the power of completion.

The time between Christmas and New Years can be an opportunity to craft who and how you want to be in the coming year. For many, there is a great deal of uncertainty and fear. How to face political upheaval, a growing climate crisis, and wars that continue unabated? You can face these challenges if you acknowledge that at the same time, possibilities abound. People everywhere are focused on finding solutions. New technologies are making the unimaginable now possible. Young people are more active than ever in creating the world we all want. The holidays are bringing us together in ways that touch our hearts and remind us of what really matters.

We recommend holding a positive vision of outcomes you want to see in 2025 and designing a year that gives you an opportunity to participate in making them happen. This is a time to dream again and to focus on what you really love.
